首屆生物、能源及材料跨校園研討會在港科大(廣州)成功舉辦
11月10日至12日,首屆生物、能源及材料跨校園研討會在香港科技大學(廣州)圓滿舉辦。
本次研討會由香港科技大學(廣州)功能樞紐先進材料學域、香港科技大學化學及生物工程學系、香港科技大學能源研究院聯合舉辦,邀請了國內外40餘位來自學界和業界的知名專家學者及優秀學生作主題報告,分享各自在生物、能源及材料科學領域的研究進展,共同探討前沿科學問題,促進融合學科發展。本次研討會同時開放線上直播,吸引了百餘名來自粵港澳大灣區多所高校、科研機構的相關人員線上參會。
11月11日上午,生物、能源及材料跨校園研討會在香港科技大學(廣州)開幕,開幕式由功能樞紐先進材料學域主任高平教授主持。
港科大(廣州)副校長(教學)吳景深教授出席開幕式並致歡迎辭,港科大化學及生物工程學系主任、港科大能源研究院院長邵敏華教授,廣州市材料信息學重點實驗室主任、先進材料學域和可持續能源與環境學域講座教授張統一院士,可持續能源與環境學域署理主任邱惠和教授、生命科學與生物醫學工程學域主任齊眾教授,材料表徵與製備中央實驗室主任翁祿濤教授出席開幕式並作報告。

吳景深教授首先回顧了港科大(廣州)的創校歷程,強調了港科大(廣州)獨特的「樞紐—學域」學術架構及其背後所蘊含的有關學科融合的意義。隨後,他詳細介紹了廣州校園的整體建設情況及未來發展規劃,期待港科大(廣州)利用南沙獨特的區位優勢,促進更多跨學科、跨校園合作。

高平教授代表港科大(廣州)先進材料學域全體人員對港科大化學及生物工程學系、港科大能源研究院的到訪表示歡迎,對到場參與研討會的學界和業界專家、學者及學生表示感謝,並對先進材料學域的基本情況進行了簡要介紹。
隨後,邵敏華教授、張統一院士、邱惠和教授、齊眾教授、翁祿濤教授分別對各自負責的港科大化學及生物工程學系和港科大能源研究院、廣州市材料信息學重點實驗室、港科大(廣州)可持續能源與環境學域、港科大(廣州)生命科學與生物醫學工程學域、材料表徵與製備中央實驗室進行了介紹,加深了參會人員對「港科大一體,雙校互補」的理解。

開幕式結束後,8場各具特色的主題研討會順利開展。與會專家學者圍繞各研討會主題作專題報告,並與主持人、觀眾互動交流,共同探討生物、能源及材料科學領域的挑戰、機遇與未來,現場討論熱烈、掌聲不斷。
