HKUST(GZ) has obtained admission eligibility for the 2024 Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) students and students eligible for direct admission from Macau

With the approval of China's Ministry of Education, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou) will begin accepting HKDSE students and students eligible for direct admission from Macau starting from 2024. The specific admission requirements will be based on the approved enrollment brochure published by the relevant national authorities.

Previously, our university has successfully enrolled students from Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan through the Joint Entrance Examination to Chinese Universities for Overseas Chinese Students and Students from Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan (referred to the Joint Entrance Examination hereinafter) as well as the General Scholastic Ability Test in Taiwan and interviews.

Connecting the Greater Bay Area to the world is an important mission for HKUST(GZ). In the first year of the university's establishment, the international features of our university gradually emerged and were favored by students from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and overseas.

In 2023, HKUST(GZ) admitted 12 excellent students from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan through the Joint Entrance Examination hereinafter and the General Scholastic Ability Test in Taiwan.
