Professor Quanke SU from HKUST (GZ) has been awarded the title of "National Outstanding Engineer"

On the morning of January 19th, 81 individuals were awarded the title of National Outstanding Engineer, and 50 groups were named National Outstanding Engineering Teams at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.

Professor Quanke SU, the Chief Engineer of the Institute for Cross-sea Engineering and Integrated Transportation, and Professor of Practice in Thrust of Intelligent Transportation at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou), was honored with the title of "National Outstanding Engineer." He was invited to deliver a speech as a representative of the awardees.

Expressing his gratitude, Professor Quanke SU stated that this recognition symbolizes the nation's acknowledgment of the remarkable Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge construction project and its emphasis on the contributions of engineers. He affirmed his commitment to leveraging his extensive engineering experience and collaboration with Hong Kong and Macao to foster more exceptional and innovative talents, aiming to enhance the global standing and impact of Chinese engineers.

Professor Quanke SU is currently the Chief Engineer of the Institute for Cross-sea Engineering and Integrated Transportation, Professor of Practice in Intelligent Transportation at System Hub at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou). Professor SU has proposed the construction of the "Marine Hydrodynamic Research Facility (MHRF)" at HKUST (GZ), which is scheduled to commence construction soon.
