President Lionel M. NI of HKUST(GZ) met with Alexander Radwan, the member of the German Bundestag
On September 4th, President Lionel M. NI of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou) met with Alexander Radwan, the member of the German Bundestag and his delegation who were visiting China. President NI introduced our university's innovative educational concept, integrated disciplinary framework, and internationalization strategy. Both parties discussed deepening bilateral cooperation between our university and German higher education institutions in the fields of education, research, and knowledge transfer.

Alexander Radwan learned about our university's history, academic programs, international enrollment, innovation, and entrepreneurship, and highlighted the broad prospects for cooperation with German higher education and related institutions. President NI stated that collaborating with Germany is a key focus of our university's internationalization efforts. In early February this year, he led a delegation to visit relevant higher education institutions in Germany to advance mutually beneficial cooperation. In early October, he will lead another delegation to visit Italy, Greece, and Germany to promote practical cooperation with higher education institutions, organize talent recruitment fairs and innovation and entrepreneurship activities, and deepen cultural exchanges between China and Europe.

Alexander Radwan and his delegation visited the Artificial Intelligence Urban Cultural Research and Study Base project led by Professor Ge Lin KAN, the Thrust Head of Urban Governance and Design at our university. They gained insight into our latest achievements in technological innovation, care for special communities, and the field of arts.

The German Associate Professor Dirk Kutscher from Thrust of Internet of Things at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou), Head of Global Affairs Department Jing FU, Consul Margaritha Wilke from the German Consulate General in Guangzhou, Economic and Political Affairs Consular Attaché Franziska Schulz, and Consular Attaché Anna Fuhst participated in the relevant activities.
