Referenced from relevant policy and procedures in HKUST, the Academic Registry (ARO) Academic Registry Services (ARS) has consolidated the Grade Reporting Guidelines for staff at HKUST(GZ), which provide information on the grading process as well as a guide to the Grade Reporting System.

To ensure that great care has been taken in awarding students the appropriate and correct mark/grade for their work and reduce the possibility of administrative/human error, the submission of grades to the Head of Thrust/Pillar/Base for approval in the grade reporting process would be restricted to the Course/Section Instructors or Course Coordinators starting from 2024-25 academic year.
