HKUST(GZ) Hosts Inaugural Large-Scale Campus Recruitment: 43 Companies in Nansha Seek Talents

On November 18th, the "Red Bird Takes Flight" Plan: HKUST(GZ) Recruitment Event, organized by Talent Development Bureau of Nansha Economic and Technological Development Zone in collaboration with HKUST(GZ), was held at HKUST(GZ) Maker Space. The event attracted approximately 300 students, faculty members, and key industry leaders from Nansha District.

A total of 43 companies showcased 264 job positions, offering a diverse range of opportunities for HKUST(GZ) students. The event followed a combined approach of introductory sessions and in-person recruitment interactions, primarily focusing on engaging with the first cohort of master's and doctoral graduates from HKUST(GZ). The objective was to establish Nansha as a competitive hub for talent acquisition, providing exceptional employment prospects for HKUST(GZ) graduates and fostering the growth of industries in the region.

During the introductory session, Prof. Lionel M. NI, the President of HKUST(GZ), expressed the university's keen interest in the career path of its inaugural batch of master's graduates. This large-scale campus recruitment event marked a promising beginning to such endeavors.

Dr. Beijinni LI, Supervisor of the HKUST(GZ) Red Bird MPhil (RBM) Program, provided a detailed overview of the program's interdisciplinary and project-based innovative training approach. Designed to nurture "top-tier talent and future leaders in academia and industry," this model equips students with comprehensive skills and competencies that align with the dynamic needs of the era and industry.

The recruitment event featured 43 research institutes and corporate entities, collectively offering 756 job opportunities across multiple professional domains, including software development, electronic engineering, chip applications, human resources, and general management. Many organizations offered competitive remuneration packages to attract a large number of graduates who came to inquire and seek opportunities.
